ASA Philadelphia Newsletter - December 2006President's Message - Gary J. Friedlander, ASADear Colleagues: I am honored and excited to serve this year as the Philadelphia Chapter President. I look forward to a busy and fruitful year. Joanne Paciello has joined us as secretary and the transition has gone very smoothly. Our mailing address and phone numbers have changed. Please make note of them. We are planning an impressive speaker line-up for the upcoming year. We hope to see many of you at our meetings in 2007. Look through this website and our ASA Bulletin for our speaker line-up and mark your calendar. Our first meeting in 2007 is a FREE breakfast meeting at the Doubletree Guests Suites in Plymouth Meeting to be held January 17, 2007 at 8 a.m. As always, we encourage candidate members to come to our bi-monthly meetings, and the breakfast meeting is a great opportunity to network and gain insight into the organization. Become a part of the American Society of Appraisers! Look for more information in the upcoming ASA Bulletin and on this website. The Philadelphia Chapter is also offering two seminars for our membership in 2007. The first is being held on April 20, 2007 at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Plymouth Meeting. This event is co-sponsored by the ASA Philadelphia Chapter and PICPA and will target business valuation topics. The second seminar is Identifying and Distinguishing Antique Ceramics given by our own Shirley Sue Swaab to be held on May 18, 2007 at the Joseph Ambler Inn in North Wales. More information on these seminars will follow in the coming months, but mark your calendars now! With the year coming to a close, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of ASA to wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season! With sincere best wishes for a happy and healthy new year.
