Philadelphia ASA Makes Grant for EducationThe Philadelphia Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) is pleased to announce renewal of its grant in support of the George F. Sinclair, FASA International Studies Fund, one of the memorial funds administered by the ASA Educational Foundation. The Sinclair Fund was established in 2006 by the Philadelphia Chapter in memory of George F. Sinclair (1925-2005), one of its most illustrious members. George, who was accredited in both Real Estate and Machinery & Equipment, served the ASA in many capacities, including as Northeast Regional Governor and as International President, often using his assignments to foster a generous commitment to education and mentoring. The Sinclair Fund provides tuition assistance to qualified international applicants, including most recently to Machinery & Technical Specialties Candidate, David Mbindyo of Kenya. Mr. Mbindyo has completed ASA Course ME201 (Introduction to Machinery and Equipment Valuation) and is continuing his professional education with support from the Sinclair Fund. The Philadelphia Chapter hopes to assist others, like Mr. Mbindyo, in the near future as part of its ongoing commitment to elevate and maintain educational standards within the appraisal profession. The Sinclair Fund provides a ready means to renew and extend the commitment rooted and nourished by George. Donations to the George F. Here's the Branding Policy, adopted as ASA Resolution 03-08-03 in March 2008, that spells out how to use the ASA logo to best effect on your stationery, business cards, marketing materials, and website.
